Nick Dash will present valuable research into myopia control specifically with contact lenses which are designed to reduce the progression of myopia in children.

The choice and risks of soft lens materials and designs will be discussed comparing these to Ortho-K methods of fitting myopic children. Information will be provided to what is needed to get started, from equipment to communication media.

You will have the opportunity to submit questions throughout the presentation which will be answered upon conclusion of the session.

Ortho-K is a well-accepted method of Myopia Control.

This webinar will discuss Ortho-K, the well-accepted method of myopia control and most importantly how and when to do prescribe to patients. We hope to empower Eye Care Practitioners to get started by providing illustrations of methods, lens selection and how to fit and monitor ongoing overnight rigid lens retainers. The risk: benefit equations of children wearing overnight contact lenses will the discussed and how to communicate the benefits to patient, parents and guardians.

This webinar will discuss how to introduce, fit and communicate the benefts of soft contact lenses within a clinic setting to ensure you leave with the skills to deliver potential myopia management soft contact lens options. Risk: benefit ratios with patients and parents is a major barrier many eye care practitioners face when introducing soft contact lenses. Techniques of communicating, (verbal, written and online) and risk calculating software will be used to illustrate clinical benefits within a busy Optometric practice setting.

This webinar series is an accredited interactive CET course that provides a concise, easy, step-by-step approach to managing myopia in children.

The series will provide scientific evidence to support a strategy of Myopia Management to Implementation within a clinical routine. Advice will be given using currently available and innovative products with practical solutions to combat the so-called “Epidemic of Myopia”. The key topics within myopia management will be explored including how to approach myopia control, communicate with both parents and children, and potential myopic solutions including spectacles, Ortho-K and soft contact lenses.
